SAT NOV 15 | The Fog City Singers’ 10th Anniversary Concert:
“Our 10 @ 10”
A Momentous One-Night Anniversary Celebration Chock-full of Music, History and Overall Merriment
Description
This Fall, we at the Fog City Singers are celebrating our 10th Anniversary in grand style, with an ambitious concert unlike anything we’ve ever attempted before!
We are billing this concert as our “10 at 10”, an homage to the “10 @ 10” Bay Area radio program hosted by Dave Morey and broadcasted on KFOG throughout the 80s, 90s and 00s. It was a legendary program, airing at 10am on weekdays and featuring “ten great songs from one great year”. Our “10 @ 10” will be slightly different: it will be a concert featuring one great song from each of our ten great years so far. And presented in a “through the years” order, no less—we’ll open with a song that we sang in 2015, then a 2016 song, and so on. Hence, Fog City’s “10 @ 10”. Yes, we did get Dave’s permission to officially call it that!
Amidst our run of “Fog City’s greatest hits, through the years” we will intersperse performances by several of our most accomplished chorus quartets from throughout our history, including Western Additions (past and present) and Brannigan, the former youth quartet consisting of four of the six Fog City founding members! We cannot promise there will not also be skits, multi-media presentations, and more…it’s our 10th Anniversary, after all—nothing is off the table!
